Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
In accordance with EU consumer protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase without giving any reason. This cooling-off period begins on the day you first subscribe to a paid plan.
To exercise your right of withdrawal during the cooling-off period, contact us at [DPO/LEGAL EMAIL] with your account email and a clear statement of your intent to cancel. We will process your full refund within 14 days of receiving your request.
Note: The 14-day free trial is separate from the cooling-off period. If you cancel during the free trial, no payment is taken and no refund is necessary.
2. Monthly Subscriptions
After the 14-day cooling-off period, monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. When you cancel a monthly subscription:
- Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- No further charges will be made.
- A 30-day grace period follows during which your data is preserved in a read-only state.
- After the grace period, your data is permanently deleted per our Privacy Policy.
3. Annual Subscriptions
If you cancel an annual subscription after the 14-day cooling-off period, you are eligible for a pro-rata refund of the unused portion of your subscription:
- The refund is calculated based on the number of full months remaining in your annual term at the time of cancellation.
- Any months partially used are counted as full months (no partial-month refunds).
- The refund is issued to your original payment method within 14 business days.
4. How to Request a Refund
- Email [DPO/LEGAL EMAIL] with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include your account email address and reason for cancellation.
- We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process the refund within 14 business days.
Alternatively, you can cancel your subscription directly from your ThinQr dashboard under Settings. For refund requests after cancellation, email us as described above.
5. Payment Processing
All refunds are processed through Stripe, our payment processor. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used for the subscription. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
6. Exceptions
We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases where:
- The account was terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
- There is evidence of abuse, fraud, or manipulation of the refund process.
